UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has some doubts over the changes that have happened on Twitter since Elon Musk bought the company
Elon Musk shocked the world when he made a whopping $43 billion bid to buy out Twitter. The founder, CEO and chief engineer at SpaceX has been an advocate of free speech, and seriously condemns censorship.
This news has the world divided given the polarizing figure Elon Musk has been. On hand, we have the die-hard supporters who believe the acquisition would only make Twitter a cathedral of free speech. On the other side are those who are, worried about one man controlling one of the most powerful social media companies and possibly using it as another revenue churning source.
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has emerged as one of the biggest superstars of the game today. Besides being a master inside the cage, he has penetrated pop culture by representing his roots with pride and anime references. He raised an important question over this new chapter by saying, ‘Anything changed since @elonmusk bought Twitter? Show me something…’
Former boxing heavyweight champion and combat sports legend Mike Tyson was recorded on video punching a fellow passenger onboard a plane at San Francisco International Airport. The video shows Tyson in a high dudgeon leaning over the back of his seat and repeatedly striking the unidentified man in the head, injuring his face.
Israel Adesanya most recently made an appearance on the ‘Hotboxin’ podcast with Mike Tyson, and discussed his journey, life outside the octagon, and the idea of being a role model.
Tyson had famously quoted “Social media made y’all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it,”. During the episode, Adesanya expressed his discomfort with the word ‘role model’ and the concept of setting an example.
Reacting to the incident on Twitter, Adesanya expressed his gratitude towards Tyson for taking matters into his own hand and said ‘ Thankyou’
