Israel Adesanya reacts to Dan Hooker getting the UFC 253 main event prediction bang on

Dan Hooker was right in his prediction that Israel Adesanya would make light work of Paulo Costa at UFC 253

The prediction for Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa at UFC 253 from many was that it was going to be a close fight.

Adesanya was undefeated as the Middleweight champion, however, the Last Stylebender might have met his match in Costa.

The Brazilian isn’t as technically gifted as Adesanya but he too was undefeated in his MMA career. One of the stars would get their first MMA loss and some even backed Costa to destroy Adesanya thanks to the Brazilian’s power.

However, what we saw in the main event of UFC 253 was something else. Costa wasn’t even in the same league as Adesanya in the clash as Izzy neutralised the Brazilian.

He dominated from the first second and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks to record his 20th consecutive MMA win.

Adesanya totally dominated Costa and the Brazilian didn’t even land a proper punch.

One-sided fight

Dan Hooker, a fellow UFC star like Adesanya, shared his prediction ahead of UFC 253 a while back. The New Zealand star claimed that it was going to be a one-sided fight and suggested that Costa was too limited to fight against Adesanya.

Izzy caught the clip now and was quick to share his reaction to this:

Hooker was completely spot on with his prediction and it was a bit of a surprise why Costa was so poor against Adesanya.

The Brazilian had dominated most of his opponents in the UFC but he was completely off his game at UFC 253.

Adesanya, for his part, proved that he is one of the greatest present-day MMA stars. His performance also pushed him to 100 wins in his combat sports career.

Adesanya still has several years left in his MMA career and the way he is going, there is no doubt he will be regarded as one of the legends of MMA.
