UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya believes that the outcome at Oscars would’ve been different if someone like ‘The Rock’ would’ve made the joke
Will Smith won his first Academy Award at the 2022 Oscars after decades of an illustrious career, but the moment was overshadowed by his own act prior to that. The world was dumbfounded when Will Smith rushed to the stage to punch Chris Rock who poked fun at his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Rock appeared on stage to present the Oscar for documentary feature and made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in “G.I. Jane” because of her shaved head. Pinkett Smith announced last year she shaved her head after struggling with alopecia.
Smith then took the stage to punch Rock. Although it appeared to be a joke at first, Smith returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fuc..ng mouth!”
Although middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was late to react to this incident, he did raise a good question after giving it considerable thought. He asks his fans on a Twitter poll whether Will Smith would have resorted to violence had Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’ been on stage.
“If it was The Rock instead of Chris Rock, would he have slapped him?”
What do you think would’ve been Will Smith’s action had the Rock been on stage?
‘Colby would have been calling 911’ – Sean Strickland uses the Will Smith and Chris Rock controversy at Oscars 2022 to mock Colby Covington
UFC middleweight Sean Strickland praised Chris Rock’s professionalism when Will Smith rushed to the stage to punch Chris Rock who poked fun at his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
He took the opportunity to poke fun at Colby Covington, who pressed charges on fellow rival Jorge Masvidal for assaulting him. He said, ‘Lmao!!!!!!!!! If that was @ColbyCovMMA he would of been on the phone calling 911 while trying to give Trump a hand job. Well played @chrisrock. You took that shit like a man… You should catch him in the parking lot lol’
Strickland even suggested that Chris Rock should not let the issue go and jokingly recommended for the issue to be resolved in the parking lot. Strickland further criticized Will Smith for his actions and said the liberal logic is the problem with the society today.
He said, ‘F..k Will smith, this mother fuc..er gets on stage after smacking a man in the face and starts crying while the crowd cheers… The f..k backwards world are we living in?!?! Liberal logic, next time I smack a mother fu..er in anger I’m just gonna cry and talk about God.’
