Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori are a couple of weeks away from their title fight at UFC 263

Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori will be running back their 2018 fight in a couple of weeks from now. But this time around it will be a title fight.

The pair have a come a long way since their last meeting, especially Adesanya.

The Nigerian beat Vettori via. a narrow split decision, and since then has gone on to become the champion in double-quick time.

Vettori, for his part, has improved in leaps and bounds. His grappling and ground game have been a massive threat to the opponents.

He will be looking forward to bringing it to the fore against the strike-heavy Adesanya.

With the fight coming up soon, Adesanya took a shot at Vettori on Twitter. He made a mockery of Vettori’s appearance comparing it to the character Lotney Sloth Fratelli from the 1985 movie Goonies.

Adesanya tweeted:

“#UFC263. I been quiet online. But just know…I’m a troll.”

Who knows how far this will go in inciting ‘The Italian Dream’ to play spoilsport to Adesanya’s title reign.

Israel Adesanya goes into the fight as the clear favourite

Despite, winning the last fight against Vettori very narrowly, Adesanya is the clear favourite going into the fight this time. It has to be largely attributed to his championship status, and recent exploits in the middleweight division.

Vettori hardly starts a fight as the underdog. In his last 10 fights, he has been the underdog only twice, which includes the first fight against Adesanya. However, ‘The Italian Dream’ has lost both the fights he has been as the underdog.
