Adesanya and Vettori will be squaring off in the main event of UFC 263 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Izzy will be entering his third title defense after defending his middleweight title twice previously.
What makes the fight more special is – the fact that the pair have already fought once before. When they weren’t relatively big names in the UFC. Adesanya and Vettori were involved in a war at UFC on Fox: Poirier vs Gaethje. Adesanya won the fight via. a narrow split decision.
‘The Italian Dream’ will be out to get revenge for his loss this time.
With the fight inching closer, UFC heavyweight Jairzinho Rozenstruik who recently beat Augusto Sakai in the main event of UFC Fight Night 189, gave his verdict on the fight.
The Surinamese divulged that he would be putting his money on Izzy, but also acknowledged the talent of Vettori.
Rozenstruik told James Lynch:
“I don’t know who’s going to win but I’m going to put my money on Izzy. I don’t think Izzy is a knockout fighter, he likes to play around, make his points…I like the way he fights; not to take away that Vettori is not a good fighter but I feel comfortable with him [Adesanya]…I put my money on him.”
