Jake Paul compared Bellator featherweight champion AJ McKee to a prime Conor McGregor
AJ McKee put on an absolute clinic in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix Final at Bellator 263.
The 26-year old American earned a first-round submission win over Bellator MMA GOAT Patricio Pitbull to win the featherweight title in addition to a winning bonus of an astounding $1 million (alongside a base salary of $150,000).
‘The Mercenary’ earned a great many accolades from several members of the MMA community and from various celebrities.
Following his win, YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul took to Twitter to make a rather interesting claim.
‘The Problem Child’ wrote:
“AJ McKee would kill 2015 McGregor.”
Now, ‘2015 Conor McGregor‘ was undefeated in the UFC. He established himself as the biggest fighter in the MMA world after a 13-second knockout victory over Jose Aldo at UFC 194 (for the featherweight title).
It was the time when the MMA community dubbed him ‘The Face of the Fight Game.”
AJ McKee vs 2015 Conor McGregor would be an interesting matchup. McKee is equally good in both striking as well as wrestling, while a prime McGregor was slick, fast and had dynamite in his hands. You decide!

UFC middleweight Derek Brunson had a hilarious take following AJ McKee’s stunning win. He posted an edited image of Dana White hurrying with a bag full of cash heading out to meet McKee.
Brunson wrote:
“Dana White headed to meet with AJ McKee moments after his fight tonight!”
McKee is currently 18-0 in his MMA career, and a rematch against Pitbull might be on the cards.
