Jake Paul is confident that he can beat Conor Mcgregor even in an MMA fight inside the UFC octagon
Jake Paul continues his tirade against UFC president Dana White and MMA superstar Conor McGregor, and has laid out a new proposal with high stakes. Paul had even expressed his interest to fight the biggest name in the game, McGregor on multiple occasions.
Jake Paul has now claimed that he can beat the Irish superstar in an MMA fight, while many consider this to be a bad idea. Weighing in on his case, Paul believes that McGregor is on a downward trajectory in his career, and that he would surprise everyone by knocking him out.
Speaking with TMZ sports he said, “I know I can beat Conor and people think, ‘Oh, this kid’s crazy’ and yeah, I am like no, that’s why I’ve gotten this far. It’s because I’m crazy and I believe in myself and Conor is on a downhill spiral. His limbs are all broken so stand-up game coming out knocking [McGregor] out first round.”
Jake Paul is currently promoting Amanda Serrano, who is set to fight Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden on April 30. Both fighters will be making history as they are reported to be earning seven-figure salaries, which will be the biggest ever in women’s boxing history.
Former two-division UFC champion, McGregor had been sidelined for the last several months due to a broken tibia injury he suffered against Poirier. Although his fans were delighted to see him healthy, Youtuber turned boxer, Jake Paul wasn’t impressed. He critiqued the former UFC two-division champion, saying the Irishman lacked head movement and his chin was ‘wide open.’
Conor McGregor found the comments frivolous and responded in hi own forthright way by calling him a ‘jackass’.
Although it is still unsure whether a fight between the two will ever come together, but fans are guaranteed entertainment if it ever happens.
