Jake Paul has always been vocal about fighting Conor McGregor someday
Conor McGregor is just a day away from his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. The fight could prove to be career-defining for the Irishman, as a loss might even spell doom.
His loss to Poirier at UFC 257, pushed him to number 5 in the lightweight rankings, and he also exited the pound-for-pound rankings.
And now, he is more determined than ever to beat ‘The Diamond’, and also earn that lightweight title shot.
Last week, McGregor had been very active on social media. He hurled a truckload of abuses at Poirier, trying to get into his mind. However, many felt that McGregor was trying too hard to be his ‘old Notorious’ self.
And, likewise, YouTuber Jake Paul felt the same. He called McGregor ‘insecure’ and expressed his desire to ‘expose him for the fraud he is.’
Paul tweeted:
“You can tell Conor has lost “it”. He no longer speaks from a place of authenticity & you can tell he’s trying to convince himself of his own lies. He takes offense to everything now. He’s bathing in his own insecurities. When we fight I will further expose him for the fraud he is.”
Jake Paul began beefing with Conor McGregor during late 2020
Following his victory over Nate Robinson in November 2020, Jake Paul was riding the high horse.
He began calling out every UFC high-profile UFC fighter there was. ‘The Problem Child’ took it too far with McGregor. He even brought his wife into the conversation, calling her a ‘4’.
As days went by, Paul began getting a few worthy opponents. First was Ben Askren, whom Paul defeated via. first-round knockout.
Paul is currently scheduled to fight Tyron Woodley on the 28th of August.
