Jake Paul wants Conor McGregor fight but he won’t get it this way
American YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul was at his comedic worst when he had a go at mocking some of the top UFC stars in the business.
He posted a video on his Twitter account titled ‘MMA Chronicles pt. 2’ where he also tagged Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, and Dana White.
He also concluded the tweet by writing “April 17th watch me knockout the @ufc ‘s big bad Benjamin Askren on @triller“.
To be honest, the first part wasn’t all that bad. But talk about trying too hard. He was pretty poor with his impressions of the aforementioned figures and the fans let him know that in the replies.
Jake Paul still has no luck with Conor McGregor but gets a reply from Ben Askren
Obviously, ‘The Notorious One’ continues to ignore the existence of the American, and hopefully, he continues doing that. Nevertheless, Askren had a reply ready for Paul’s video.
‘Funky’ made fun of Paul and called him out for the content he put out. The two are scheduled to go against each other in a boxing match on April 17th, 2021.
The fight will take place under the Triller Fight Club banner. A lot of people have already gotten their predictions in, and a few think that Jake Paul may get a shock result.
Others, however, side with Askren. And that is probably the safest money. The former Bellator champion is the first serious, professional opponent that Jake Paul will face.
No more NBA players and other YouTubers. This will be a serious test for Paul, and more than that, could make or break Askren.
Funky is still under UFC contract and has a lot to lose in this fight. If he lays his guard down even for one moment, he could tend to become the laughing stock of the sport.
Hopefully not, though.
