Jake Paul believes he can KO Ben Askren and still wants a piece of Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz

YouTube sensation Jake Paul has continued talking trash ahead of his fight against Ben Askren.

This is one of the craziest fight stories over the years as Paul and Askren meet in a boxing contest. Paul is 2-0 in his professional boxing career but last defeated Nate Robinson.

That was a KO win for the YouTuber and he was quick to call out Conor McGregor and a few others. However, Askren was the only one who properly responded to these call outs and a clash was set up.

The pair meet in April 2021 and Askren was asked on MMA Junkie why he wanted to fight the MMA star:

“He sort of called me out before I fought Nate Robinson.”

Paul added that he thought this was interested and was a little peeved that people weren’t giving him the credit for knocking out Robinson. Some wanted him to go up against a real fighter and Askren seemed to fit the bill:

“I started talking to all these real fighters, guys in the MMA community. When it came down to them actually signing the contract, a lot of them didn’t actually want the smoke and I was bringing them the biggest deals they had ever seen.

“It tells you something that this is the most amount of money they have ever been paid and they are turning it down.”

Paul then explained how great Askren was as he is a former Olympian, had less losses than McGregor and even is an NCAA division champion.

Paul went on to say how great things had been going for him in training and that his next fight would be something great.

He also reiterated his desire to fight McGregor and Diaz and wanted to prove that he wasn’t some random kid trying to make a name:

“It is going to be a move and I wanted to show sort of MMA world, eventually I want to fight Conor McGregor.

“I want to show the MMA world that they were like, be careful before you come here and box us. You saw what Floyd [Mayweather Jr] did to McGregor, you are going to see what I do to Askren and then I want [Nate] Diaz, I want McGregor, I want these MMA guys and shut them up.”

Paul added that he would KO Askren in the first round and that he was learning from Jorge Masvidal.

The YouTube star also called Tyron Woodley a loser since the former UFC Champion was helping Askren out in training.
