Jake Paul is pretty sure he will fight Conor McGregor soon

Now that Conor McGregor is having his back against the wall, talks of him crossing over or taking up another venture have been rife.

The Irishman recently lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, via. TKO due to a doctor stoppage, which caused the second straight defeat in his MMA career, for the very first time.

Following his loss at UFC 264, YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul brought up McGregor fading in the sport of MMA, and opened up talks of a fight against him.

Paul had been very vocal about a fight against ‘The Notorious’ ever since he beat Nate Robinson in November 2020.

Now that he has been busy with an upcoming fight against Tyron Woodley, he has remained a bit quiet in his callouts of UFC fighters, especially McGregor.

However, in a recent interview with popular sports journalist Colin Cowherd, Paul claimed that his fight against McGregor “will happen.”

“Our team is in touch with his team and there’s talks of it actually happening. And people at first thought I was just joking when I said I wanted to fight him. But now it’s as real as it gets, it’s more real than ever and by the way, if we do fight, I’m going to knock him out.” [via BJPENN.com]
