UFC veteran Jim Miller put on a stunning performance in the main card of UFC Vegas 40 against Erick Gonzalez

The ageless Jim Miller walked into the Octagon for the 38th time in the UFC. The most by any fighter in the history of the promotion – not even Donald Cerrone has these many appearances.

Coming off two back-to-back losses against Joe Solecki and Vinc Pichel, Miller was itching to get back to winning ways.

In his path stood UFC newcomer Erick Gonzalez who was making his 20th MMA fight appearance.

At one point in the first round, it looked like Miller would succumb to the barrage of strikes from Gonzalez. However, Miller showed the experience of a workhorse, and put himself to the ground to avoid further damage.

He recovered well towards the end of the round, inflicting serious damage on Gonzalez.

No sooner did the second round begin, than Miller knocked out Gonzalez with a massive left hand, even as the commentators and spectators watched in amazement.
