Jiri Prochazka shares some crazy plans on spending $100,000 bonus after Dominick Reyes KO

Jiri Prochazka got both Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night UFC bonus after his KO win over Dominick Reyes

Prochazka made a huge statement in the light-heavyweight division, after his startling KO win over Dominick Reyes at UFC Vegas 25.

His spinning elbow in the second round landed flush, battering Reyes as he landed on the canvas, motionless.

The Czech’s hairdo was a talking point as well. It was largely inspired by traditional mongkhon headgear worn by Muay Thai athletes performing the wai khru. He also resembled the antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z Anime, Majin Buu.

The KO earned him both the bonuses – The Fight of the Night and the Performance of the Night.

Prochazka sat down at the post-fight press conference, and was asked by the Schmo about how he would be spending his $100K fight bonus.

He initially joked about some crazy plans he had for spending this huge amount, but then went on to delve into the realistic plans he had for attaining MMA mastery.

Prochazka told the Schmo:

“I will buy some expensive car and crash it [chuckles]. No! I don’t know. I need to pay some money to my house…I like the money to have everything, the girls, the cars, the expensive ships, and the big parties.”

And then, he got a bit serious about his plans. He said:

The other side of myself wants to live just in the forest, in a small house and practice day by day, just practice everyday. Going for the mastery, going for the mastery day by day. Nothing else. I think that’s the most realistic side inside me.”

Dustin Poirier reacts to Jiri Prochazka’s KO win over Dominick Reyes

Number one ranked lightweight Dustin Poirier was quick to react to Jiri Prochazka’s fiery KO win.

He hoped that Reyes was ok, while acknowledging the brutality of the knockout.

However, The Diamond wouldn’t take anything away from the sport, as he tweeted:

“Hopefully Reyes is ok. That was brutal. It’s a tough dangerous sport but damn I love it.”

Poirier is currently gearing up for his trilogy bout against Conor McGregor at UFC 264, on the 10th of July. The fight is set to be held in Vegas in front of a full house.

A win here for Poirier would put him just one step away from lightweight greatness.
