Joanna Jedrzejczyk might have come short in her quest at UFC 248 but the talking point was the swollen forehead she received from Zhang Weili.
Both women put on a show at UFC 248 as their Strawweight title bout went the distance. Zhang and Jedrzejczyk smashed each other to bits. However, it seemed that the Pole was the one who came worse off.
Her forehead had ballooned up and the swelling was something not seen regularly in UFC. It was a surprise that she kept on fighting after the initial swelling took place around the third round.
Joanna was unrecognizable at the end of the fight but the crowd cheered both women once the results were in.
The before and after pictures of Joanna Jedrzejczyk were something to marvel at too. The female MMA fighter had an incredibly swollen face and was unrecognisable from the start of the PPV.

It was Zhang who clung onto her belt, but Joanna could have won the fight too since it was pretty close.
The star was sent to the hospital straight away as she had a haematoma. Surprisingly, she didn’t have any major injury to highlight despite the swollen face.
ESPN MMA reporter Ariel Helwani shared a picture of Joanna leaving the facility and she seemed to have a small bandage around her head.
It is incredible that the Polish star was able to leave the premises and then the hospital without any problems, and that shows her physical and mental toughness.
Zhang also got her face beat up a lot but the Chinese star threw some great punches too. This will go down as one of the greatest fights in the history of MMA, and hopefully, both women are back in the Octagon too.
This was Zhang’s 21st straight win in the UFC while Joanna missed her chance of reclaiming the Strawweight title.
Close to 600 strikes were thrown in the five rounds, which is another incredible stat from the fight.
