Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson pulled a hilarious prank on Dana White at UFC 187
Anthony Johnson and Jon Jones could not fight at UFC 187, but still pulled a memorable prank on UFC President Dana White.
UFC 187 was scheduled to be headlined by a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight. The then-champion Jon Jones was to face top contender Anthony Johnson.
However, Jones was indefinitely suspended from UFC and his title was stripped. Daniel Cormier, who was the previous challenger for the belt, fought Johnson in the main event.
Jones had reportedly been involved in a hit-and-run case, because of which he was pulled from the event. ‘Bones’ was being tried for misdemeanor by Albuquerque Police Department.
As a result, Jones did not fight against Johnson at the event. However, the duo gave UFC fans a memorable moment before the event even started.
In the promotional event before UFC 187, Anthony Johnson and Jon Jones came head-to-head at a promotional event.
Both Jones and Johnson looked at each other with intent to clash on the stage, and even pressed their heads against each other.
This triggered Dana White into action, who stepped in to separate the two. The UFC President thought the duo was about to collide.
However, both Jones and Johnson back off and started laughing at the expense of White. The moment had the crowd and the on-stage crew laughing when White realized he was being pranked upon.
