Shortly after the ceremony he was charged with domestic violence, tampering a vehicle and felony and was arrested. Jones was taken to Clark County Detention Center early Friday morning and will also appear in Court on Saturday. Further exact details on the case are yet to be known.
How did Dana White react to the arrest of Jon Jones?
“It’s hard to bring this guy to Las Vegas for any reason, This city is not good for Jon Jones. And here we are again. It’s like it’s not even shocking anymore. When we bring him here, it’s almost expected. Can’t even get him into Las Vegas for less than 12 hours to induct him into the Hall of Fame. It’s a problem. This guy’s got a lot of demons man, a lot of demons.”
Dana White further added:
“Is it really shocking anymore? It’s become not shocking. It’s almost become, ‘Uh oh, he’s in Vegas again. What’s going to happen today?’ You want to hope the guy is better, and that won’t be the case, but he proves every time he comes to this town that he can’t handle this place.”
Although The UFC President seems to be disappointed he claims it is not shocking any more. Jones has had past troubles with the police especially at Las Vegas. It is yet to be seen what charges will Jones face going forward.
Jones also plans on entering the Heavyweight division in the UFC. At the red carpet of the Hall of Fame ceremony Jones said that he is also targeting a UFC return in the second quarter of 2022.
