“A two-faced hypocrite” – Colby Covington slams Jon Jones for wanting $10million to face Francis Ngannou

Jon Jones continues to ask for a huge payout for fight against Francis Ngannou

Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou for the UFC heavyweight title has been touted as the biggest fight in UFC in that division.

‘Bones’ vacated his belt at 205 to take the step up and was believed to be awarded a shot at the title in his very first attempt. I

In that regard, his next opponent was tipped to be the winner of Ngannou vs. Stipe Miocic 2 at UFC 260.

But ever since the Cameroonian knocked Miocic out and won the title, Jones is rallying for a massive payday, saying that even $10million is not enough for a fight of this magnitude.

This has been met with criticism from the fans, with some of them believing he is scared for the new champion.

And while that may not be the case, it is understandable why they might think so, because the money in that fight was never really an issue on his social media account prior to Ngannou’s KO win.

Jon Jones could fight Francis Ngannou next.

And the latest UFC fighter to have his say on the issue is former UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington. ‘Chaos’ was talking to The Schmo earlier this week and had his say on Jones’ demands for the Ngannou fight.

“Jon’s irrelevant these days. He’s not fighting. His last two fights were split-decision wins that a lot of people thought he lost. Nobody thought he won those fights and he just looks like he’s just washed up.”

And he further twisted the dagger as he brought up Jones’ troublesome past when asked if Bones deserved more money for fighting Ngannou, saying that he is still not over his vices and is a “two-faced hypocrite”.

“[Jones] looks like he’s off the steroids because he’s failed a couple of steroid tests. He looks like he’s still hitting pregnant ladies and running to the foothills like a coward, he looks like he’s still doing the same things that he always does; you know, cocaine, h******, yet here he is, a two-faced hypocrite saying ‘I’m all about god, I’m all about my family’.

“That guy hasn’t deserved or earned anything and the fans see that and that’s why nobody cares to see him fight anymore.”

Jones vs. Ngannou will be a fight for the ages. His last two fights were probably not his best in recent years because he had nothing to fight for really.

But a motivated Jon Jones is a different beast and as Booker T rightly said, Ngannou is the perfect fight for him. So the sooner the payout is decided, the sooner we can put a date on this thing.
