Jon Jones wasn’t sure when asked to pick a winner between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane
A massive heavyweight showdown awaits at UFC 270. Defending heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou will be squaring up against interim heavyweight champ Ciryl Gane in the main event (for the undisputed belt).
Ngannou is coming off a brutal KO win over Stipe Miocic, against whom he won the HW title (at UFC 260). On the other hand, Gane became the interim champ after beating Derrick Lewis at UFC 265.
With the fight inching closer, heavyweight newcomer and light-heavyweight GOAT Jon Jones weighed in on the fight. When asked for his prediction on Twitter, a confused ‘Bones’ stated that he had no idea who was going to win before going on to add that there would be so much to learn.
Here is what he had to say:
“Really have no clue who’s going to win, I’m just excited to watch the fight. Going to learn so much about the both of them no matter how it goes down.”
Jones is expected to make his heavyweight debut this year. He might probably face Gane or Ngannou.
Francis Ngannou to receive 50% of fight purse in Bitcoin
Francis Ngannou is set to receive 50% of his fight purse in the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin.
Mentioning the popularity in Africa, Ngannou took to Twitter to reveal the same. He tweeted:
“Been talking with my family and friends in the crypto space. #Bitcoin is huge in Africa and I’m thinking of taking half my fight purse in it. Bitcoin is the future and I’m a believer @ufc#ufc270.”
It is worth noting that Africa has been adopting cryptocurrency at a very fast rate.
