Jon Jones might not have been on the card at UFC 258 but he loved the 8K cameras on use
There was something special at UFC 258, apart from the fights, and it was the 8K cameras being used.
WWE had already used these cameras when the wrestlers walk down in their entrances and it provides a very interesting appearance as they walk down.
The UFC did the same during the entrances, introductions and even when the fights were over. It got a lot of people talking, including former UFC Lightweight Champion Jon Jones.
Jones might have given up his title as he moved up to the Heavyweight one, he still kept an eye on UFC 258.
Bones was in love with the cameras and was quick to appreciate how great everything looked.
“Seems like the UFC got new cameras, some of these angles are looking so dope”
The presentation certainly was great and the focus of these 8K camera shots were the fighters. It almost felt like a lifelike video game of sorts as the main target was in focus while the others were faded out.
This certainly was a huge talking point from the clash, apart from Kamaru Usman keeping hold of his title and continuing his legacy as one of the greatest Welterweight champions ever.
Jon Jones sets the record straight
There seemed to be some suggestions that Jones wasn’t willing to fight. He is expected to make his UFC Heavyweight debut soon and Dana White also claimed a big fight would be on his way.
While White claimed that Jones would fight the winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou for the title, Bones set the record straight that he wasn’t running away from fights and the problem was financial.
“Been seeing lots of different things in the media lately, I would absolutely love to fight for the UFC again. Really hope we can come up with a good financial agreement and give the fans a few more great fights.”
Jones taking on either Miocic or Ngannou would be a blockbuster, and it will be interesting to see who the UFC Heavyweight champion is that faces Bones.
Ngannou already has a loss to Miocic but he is keen on avenging that defeat and becoming the champion for the first time.
