Jon Jones took to Twitter to reveal his favorite fighter from the Land of the Palms

Following his time off due to his uncertain future in the UFC’s heavyweight division, Jones has been lurking very often on Twitter, of late.

Every other day he has been interacting with fans on Twitter answering a truckload of questions.

Jones was recently asked who his favorite fighter from Brazil was. And as expected, he named one of the GOATs, Anderson Silva.

Jones even claimed that he has watched ‘Spider’s footage for over 100 hours.

“Silva is always going to be a hero of mine. I’ve probably watched his fight footage for over 100 hours.”

Silva, who was once untouchable in the UFC, was recently released from the promotion, last year. He had been in a poor run of form, after winning just 1 of his last 9 fights.

Although, Silva tried his hand at the light-heavyweight division, he never fought Jones.

The Brazilian is now getting ready for a professional boxing match against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on the 19th of June in Mexico. This will be Silva’s 3rd professional boxing bout, after having made his debut in 1998.
