Jon Jones was one of the UFC stars that were impressed by Jamahal Hill defeating Ovince Saint Preux

The UFC might have caught a glimpse in the future of the Light Heavyweight division as Jamahal Hill put on another quality performance.

The 29-year-old came into the fight undefeated but went up against the veteran Ovince Saint Preux. OSP has won some huge fights in his career and started off well. However, the younger Hill was able to get the win in the second round.

The 29-year-old used a flurry of punches to get the win and he went to 8-0-1 in his MMA career. While some fans were left impressed by the 29-year-old, former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones was too.

Jones tweeted his thoughts regarding Hill, OSP and how the fight went. He was impressed by the finish

A fan then suggested that Hill looked like a younger Jones but the former champion wasn’t having any of it:

Bones did, however, claim that Hill looked amazing and added that his fighting style was boxing based:

Respect for OSP

Some fans even questioned OSP and how he went into the fight. However, Jones was quick to defend the UFC veteran and claimed he still had it in him:

The loss might have been tough to swallow for OSP but Hill looked great. It will be interesting to see what else is next for the rising star and he could be in line for a title shot in the future.

Jones won’t be there to defend the belt after vacating it. He has moved up to the Heavyweight division and is keen on winning the gold from Stipe Miocic.

However, the night belonged to Hill for an impressive outing and great things should be in store for him.
