Light-heavyweight king Jon Jones sounded off a stern warning to Francis Ngannou and across the entire UFC heavyweight division
Jones vs Ngannou has been the talk of the town in recent times. No sooner did Ngannou demolish Stipe Miocic at UFC 260, than talks of a Jones-Ngannou bout began.
However, Jones ran into a payment dispute with UFC President Dana White since he is believed to have charged an enormous fight purse. After some back and forth on social media, the UFC decided to hand the Ngannou fight to Derrick Lewis (although, it is still unconfirmed).
But Jones still believes that his fight against Ngannou would be his next fight, and has been actively training ahead of the fight.
In the wake of this, Jones has sent a stern warning to Ngannou and the rest of the top heavyweights. Earlier today, Bones tweeted that he would run through the heavyweight division just like he ran through the light-heavyweight division.
His tweet read:
“Ran through the light heavyweight division on talent, about to run through the heavyweight division like dominoes off pure hard work.”
He put fellow heavyweight Ngannou on high-alert as well, asking him to motivate him more
Jon Jones is optimistic about winning his expected high-voltage clash against Francis Ngannou.
Taking to twitter, Jonny wrote, “The greatest title in the world is coming back to the greatest country in the world.”
Jones seems to be in the greatest ‘motivation-zone’ of his life. Even his old rival Chael Sonnen is perplexed by the amount of motivation Jones has been showing in recent days.
Jones further tweeted with a political undertone, writing, “If you think you are going to run through America, you are wrong.”
Jones may be right in a way. But, can he get past the Cameroonian brick wall that is even stronger than the Walls of Constantinople?
