Anthony Smith was destroyed by Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night

Jon Jones was one of the many UFC stars keeping an eye on Glover Teixeira and Anthony Smith.

The Light Heavyweight champion might have been scouting two of the most experienced stars in the division, and he did see something special from Teixeira.

However, it is unlikely the UFC veteran will take on Jones anytime soon. The champion was also tagged in a post suggesting that Smith would call out Jones had he won, but there was a word of warning.

Jones then kept sharing updates regarding Smith, and he was also surprised as to how great Teixeira was during this clash.

Smith hasn’t been the first person to talk about Jones ahead of a fight. However, it seems that they end up losing the clash before even getting a shot at the champion.

Jones too touched upon this coincidence and this seems to be a curse that has been put on his rivals.

Teeth falling out

There were some concerns for Smith too as he told his coach that some of his teeth were falling out during the clash.

The referee didn’t halt the match till the final round, and there was some criticism regarding this. The safety of all fighters is important, and it seemed that was not being looked into during this fight.

However, Smith’s coach later spoke about this controversy. The coach added that Smith has veneers and those have fallen off in practice too.

He assured that these had fallen off during this fight as well, and there wasn’t a lot to worry about. Teixeira was absolutely dominant in this meeting and didn’t look 40 at all.
