Home » UFC » “Professionalism is about to go up” – Jon Jones provides major update regarding new management

UFC Heavyweight Jon Jones is currently without any management team

Jones parted ways with First Round Management, owned by Malki Kawa and Abe Kawa, after being with them for more than 11 years.

Even before Jones became the youngest heavyweight champion, First Round Management and Jones were together.

Their split especially at the time when Jones’ payment negotiation with UFC President Dana White was in dire straits, spewed out rumours that things got ugly between Jones and his team.

However, Malki Kawa issued a statement saying all was well between the team and Jones, and that they had split after a healthy mutual agreement.

Jones then thanked his team, and a hunt for a new management team began.

Although, he still hasn’t landed one, he recently shared an update regarding the same. Bones claimed that big things were coming his way and also that his professionalism is going to better and better.

Jones replied to a fan enquiring about his negotiations:

“The good news is I have two really big meetings with some awesome attorneys and sports agents next week. Feel like my professionalism is about to go up a notch.”

Dana White hints at an interesting clash for Jon Jones to mark his HW debut

With Jones vs Francis Ngannou negotiations failing to pick up steam, UFC President Dana White recently hinted at a possible fight between Jones and ‘UFC Heavyweight GOAT’ Stipe Miocic.

In an interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the boss revealed that Miocic was looking more hungrier than ever, and hence must be given a top opponent like Jones.

White said:

“He is the heavyweight GOAT. The guy has put in the work and done all the things you need to do to be the heavyweight GOAT. He is [the hw GOAT], that is a fact…I like that he is fired up and wants to fight again…But, listen we could give you Jon [Jones] and Stipe too.”

Added to that, Miocic has decided to up the ante by adding 20 pounds to his frame.
