Jon Jones provides an update on his weight as he prepares for massive UFC heavyweight debut

It’s been a while since Jon Jones vacated his light heavyweight belt to take the step up to heavyweight. He certainly helped Jan Blachowicz, who won the vacant belt at UFC 253.

But for a man who loves title fights, you just know he is itching to have UFC gold back on his shoulder again.

It won’t be an easy task doing that at 265, though, but he has been putting the work in training. And he shared a recent update with his fans on Twitter as he posted a training video.

He is seen sparring inside the octagon for over a minute. The caption mentions that Jones has lost some weight recently and is down to 245 lbs.

‘Bones’ has previously kept his fans updated with his journey of beefing up for his highly-anticipated heavyweight fight.

The two heavyweights face off at UFC 260 for the heavyweight belt in a rematch of their UFC 220 rematch, a fight which the American won.

That would be a big task for Jones as he has never fought in this division before. His best work came at 205, where he was undefeated in all 14 of his title fights.

And opinions are divided about how he will fare among the big boys. Some seem to think that the weight class will be too much for him.

While others are confident of his abilities and back him to go all the way. But we will have an even better answer to those questions when he finally steps inside the octagon, whenever that may be.
