Jon Jones was not happy with Eugene Bareman for mentioning a UFC super fight with Israel Adesanya

Eugene Bareman, who is the kickboxing coach of Israel Adesanya, was on Submission Radio earlier this week and talked about how a fight against Jon Jones could not ‘fizzle out’ for Izzy.

Bareman mentioned that ‘Bones’ is a businessman who would know where the money is. And the PPV profit that Izzy vs Jones could garner is something that always keeps the possibility of a super fight alive.

This was said by the coach in response to being asked if a loss to Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259 meant the end of the road for Adesanya vs Jones.

The two UFC superstars are never shy from giving each other an earful on social media.

Jones wanted Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, to come to 205 and take on Bones inside the octagon. Jones was then, of course, the champion in that weight class.

But Adesanya ducked and dodged Jones then and only entered light heavyweight when Blachowicz won the vacant belt at UFC 253.

Now, the former light heavyweight champion has responded to Bareman’s comments. He had a go at Bareman for not caring about Izzy’s well-being and trying to set up him with a 260 lbs. Jones.

“Give it up coach, we’ve all seen your cards, your boy has almost no take down defense or offense off his back. Now you’re just being a cloud trout, if you would honestly send him in there against a 260lb wrestler after that last performance, you don’t care about his well being”

‘The Last Stylebender’ was not looking the fastest in his fight at 205 against the Pole. The size difference was showing between the two and played a part in deciding the outcome.

In that regard, Jones has already buffed up and taken the step up to 265. While the two would not meet at heavyweight, that is still a scary thought.
