Jorge Masvidal fired shots at Jake Paul as his recently concluded rematch against Tyron Woodley sold just 65K PPV buys
Jake Paul rematched Tyron Woodley on the 18th of December, 2021 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Having beaten Woodley via. a narrow split decision in August 2021 previously, Paul was looking forward to a more decisive win.
A mundane fight came to life and eventually an abrupt end after Paul viciously knocked Woodley out in the 6th round, with a massive right hand.
This was Paul’s fifth straight win in his pro boxing career.
More recently, the PPV buys for the event (Showtime) was released. The largely-anticipated fight just did 65K PPV buys. This is much lesser when compared to the buys UFC events do. Events involving Conor McGregor do much more than a million PPV buys.
Jorge Masvidal mocks Jake Paul
In the wake of Jake Paul’s fight doing just 65K PPV buys, UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal brutally mocked ‘The Problem Child.’
Taking to Twitter, ‘Gamebred’ wrote:
“Bitch boy can’t afford the big boys Never again do I want to hear my name associated with the fake. 3 0 5 day is coming #supernecessary.”
It is worth noting that Paul and Masvidal caught up when the YouTuber was 2-0 up in his boxing career. However, their relationship turned sour soon after. Paul even called out Masvidal for a fight after his KO win over Woodley.
