A fight between Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor is a guaranteed PPV sellout
Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor were knocked out cold for the first time in their respective careers.
While McGregor crumbled against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, Masvidal was flattened by welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 261.
However, both McGregor and Masvidal’s presence hasn’t diminished one bit. Their brand value is still massive as ever.
In the wake of this, a horde of MMA fans have been calling for a fight between ‘Gamebred’ and ‘The Notorious’.
But, Masvidal’s manager Malki Kawa wanted to put an end to this. Taking to Twitter he quote tweeted a fan who claimed that the Masvidal-McGregor fight would be huge in PPV numbers and also in terms of action.
Kawa replied saying that Masvidal “is too big” for McGregor, which was the reason why UFC President Dana White never really liked the fight.
“Guys, stop this. Masvidal is too big for him, that’s why @danawhite never liked this fight.”
Despite having fought welterweight champ Kamaru Usman twice in the last 12 months and losing both, Masvidal still wants a piece of the ‘Nigerian Nightmare.’
‘Gamebred’ took to Twitter to reply to a fan who asked about the fighter he would like to fight next. All Masvidal replied was – “Usman”.
The first time Usman and Masvidal met was in July 2020 at UFC 251. Usman won the fight via. unanimous decision.
In the rematch, Usman devastated Masvidal with a vicious punch knocking him out cold in the second round – nine months later at UFC 261 in April 2020.
