Jose Aldo sported a new tattoo on his chest but it disappeared by the end of the fight

Jose Aldo turned the clock back as he was on fire in the final UFC event of the year. Aldo had been on a bit of a slide coming into this fight and many believed that Marlon Vera could get the better of the experienced Brazilian.

However, Aldo showed off some incredible punching power as he won this clash via a unanimous decision.

The 34-year-old Aldo had lost his last three fights, including a battle for the vacant UFC Bantamweight title. However, he showed a thing or two to his rival and moved to 29-7 in his MMA career.

There was another huge talking point in the fight as Aldo was sporting a new tattoo on his chest. It was clearly visible as he walked out and fought in the clash but there was more to come at the end of the clash.

The tattoo is gone

By the time Aldo was done with the fight, the tattoo on his chest had disappeared. This was something weird as no one saw this coming and the tattoo was missing during the post-fight interview too.

Many brought out their own thoughts regarding this. This could have been a smart way to get some advertisement in without the UFC knowing about it.

The sponsors for fighters are usually on their pre-fight gear and possibly around their corner. The Reebok apparel doesn’t allow any other branding or endorsement logos.

If it was paint, which seems to be one logical explanation, Aldo might have skirted the rules to get a sponsor in on his body.

This is the first time something like this might have taken place in the UFC, and many fans and fighters were discussion what actually took place.
