One judge scored the fight 49-46 as Rose Namajunas defeating Zhang Weili at UFC 268

Rose Namajunas vs Zhang Weili 2 at UFC 268 went a little different to the first fight that took place a while back.

In that outing, Namajunas was able to KO the Chinese champion early in the first round. However, this was a different outing as both stars gave it their all.

It wasn’t a clinic of punches and kicks but the pair tried their best to get the upper hand. Every time it seemed that Namajunas would get the upper hand, Weili had an answer for that.

The Chinese star even seemed to be leading after three rounds but then the champion started to show her calibre.

Namajunas buckled down and tried to out-strike her rival. The main story came in the final round as Namajunas got a take down and didn’t let Weili up. That more or less won her the fight but it was close.

Bruce Buffer announced the winner and claimed it was a split decision. One judge gave the fight to Weili, another to Rose but the third judge scored it 49-46, handing four out of the five rounds to Namajunas.

Judge scoring Rose Namajunas vs Zhang Weili gets called out

Many UFC fans questioned the scoring in all this but so did a few current and former UFC stars.

Ben Askren was one of them who couldn’t believe how the judge scored it this was.

There were a few others who also raised this point but not many could question Namajunas getting the win in the end.
