Kamaru Usman hints at respect for his former arch rival Colby Covington
Arguably the greatest welterweight of all time Kamaru Usman got done with one of his most fierce rivals, Colby Covington. Usman also defended his welterweight strap against Covington at the UFC 268. And it was by no means a walk in the park.
After an all out brawl that lasted 25 minutes inside the octagon, both fighters were left with sheer respect for each other. Recently, Usman took to Twitter to share some pictures from his fight against Covington where he said:
“Greatful for all challenges #AndStill #P4P”

While Usman did not mention Covington’s name in the post, it can assumed that his tweet was directed at his arch nemesis. It is worth noting that this was also the second time that the pound-for-pound king took on Covington. It is clear that out of all the fighters that have also faced Usman in the UFC, Chaos has given the champion the most trouble.
Is Kamaru Usman better than GSP?
With the recent dominance of Usman in the welterweight division, his comparisons to GSP has also been stirred up. With many suggesting that the UFC legend is superior to Usman, Ali Abdelaziz has different thoughts.
The current welterweight champion’s manager has no doubt in his mind that Usman is the GOAT of the division. Further, he recently made his opinion heard on Twitter. To have a look at what Abdelaziz said, check out: Ali Abdelaziz sheds more light on why Kamaru Usman is GOAT over GSP
