Kamaru Usman and Jake Paul had an ugly spat on Twitter a couple of months ago
Jake Paul is set to face Tyron Woodley on the 28th of August in a pro-boxing match. This will be the YouTuber’s fourth professional boxing match of his career.
He had previously beaten fellow YouTuber AnesonGib, Ex-Basketballer Nate Robinson and MMA fighter Ben Askren.
His last opponent Askren, was the first combat sport athlete he ever faced. This time ‘The Problem Child’ went a notch above, agreeing to fight an MMA fighter who was once known for his terrifying striking skills.
A couple of months ago, Jake Paul had gotten into an online altercation with UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman. In fact, the YouTuber had called out Usman multiple times, taunting the Nigerian as much as he could. The pair have stopped feuding momentarily, for now.
In a recent interview with YouTuber True Geordie, Usman claimed that he might consider fighting Paul, if the YouTuber gets past the dangerous Woodley.
“If Jake Paul is able to get through Tyron Woodley. Then now, he is in a realm where I can say, ‘Ok, now you can make a case for me wanting to step in there and whoop your a*s’.”
Who will Kamaru Usman fight next?
Usman has conquered the welterweight division to the fullest. He has defeated all the top-ranked welterweights at least once.
Although, a fight against Leon Edwards might be compelling, he has defeated the Brit once in the UFC before.
The only top fighter Usman hasn’t fought is Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. The karate master is set to take on Gilbert Burns at UFC 264. If he manages to beat the Brazilian, he might get a title shot handed to him.
