Charles Oliveira clinched the lightweight title at UFC 262, and no sooner he clinched it, than talks of a fight with the lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov began

Charles Oliveira became the 11th lightweight champion at UFC 262, after putting on a second-round clinic against Michael Chandler.

At the end of round 1, it looked like ‘Do Bronx’ was down and out. He switched on out of God-knows-where and pulverized Chandler, just 19 seconds into the second round.

Oliveira’s joy knew no bounds, as he leapt out of the cage heading first to the commentary panel, then to Dana White and finally to his team.

There were a lot of talks, of his victory, even intriguing Lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov, who retired recently, to make a comeback.

UFC Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman addressed this in a recent interview with TMZ Sports. Though Usman revealed that Oliveira’s win was very impressive, he believed that it wouldn’t ‘intrigue’ a man like Khabib to come out of retirement.

Usman then explained how happy Khabib was with his life, before shutting down the possibility of ‘this matchup’.

Usman told TMZ Sports:
