Kay Hansen vs Cory McKenna is going to be the youngest female fight in UFC history
UFC Fight Night 183 features two rising youngsters taking on each other from the female roster.
Kay Hansen vs Cory McKenna is going to be an interesting bout, but the women are set to create some UFC history too.
Ariel Helwani brought out a list of the youngest fights in the history of the UFC. This featured the combined ages of both participants and the one featuring Hansen and McKenna was going to be the sixth youngest.
The youngest ever was Noaki Inoue vs Carls John de Tomas, which had a combined age of 40 years and 296 days.
Nick Diaz and Jeremy Jackson had a combined age of 41 years and 62 days. While Robbie Lawler and Aaron Riley were third on the list at 41 years and 203 days.
Dustin Hazelett and Stevie Lynch were fourth while John Hathaway vs Tom Egan were fifth. Hansen vs McKenna came sixth at 42 years and 99 days.
This is going to be the second fight for Hansen in the UFC and she is on a three-fight win streak. The 21-year-old is 7-2 in her MMA career so far and impressed on his UFC debut with an armbar win.
McKenna might be the UFC newbie at Fight Night 183 but she too is on a decent run. The 21-year-old is also on a three-fight win streak and has just one loss in her career.
McKenna has an MMA record of five wins and one loss, and it seems to be a close battle, at least stats wise.
Whatever happens on Saturday, this fight is going to be historic, one way or another.
