Bryce Mitchell finally got his wish to wear camo shorts in the UFC
It seems to be a turning point for the UFC as Bryce Mitchell will be wearing camo shorts in his next fight.
The undefeated American has spoken about grand plans on ensuring that he does get his custom shorts in the Octagon.
The 26-year-old spoke about fighting several bodyguards to wear the trunks, but nothing of that sort will happen at the weekend. Reebok shared the design of the shorts and Mitchell also wore them yesterday.
This is a big deal for the UFC as Reebok didn’t normally provide such custom shorts as their attire options. Fighters had to wear the predetermined designs from the apparel company but this opens up a lot of opportunities for stars to get noticed.
Mitchell also posted a picture of himself wearing the shorts and he looked great in them.
UFC star Kelvin Gastelum also decided to get into the joke. Wearing camo is perfect for jungle environments as you cannot be seen by animals as you blend into the surroundings.
That is exactly the joke some of the UFC fans shared when the shorts were revealed, and Gastelum did that too:
“Smart man. His opponents won’t see what’s coming”
It will be interesting to see how Mitchell does in his next fight. He is 13-0 in his MMA career and has featured in four UFC fights so far.
The 26-year-old is also ranked 15th in the Featherweight standings and a few more wins could see him get a #1 contender’s clash too.
Mitchell has won titles in previous organisations before coming to the UFC, and he seems set for a great future in the company especially with his camo shorts.
