‘Big Mouth’ Kevin Holland didn’t have much to say after seeing Amanda Nunes
The debate on who the GOAT is in the world of MMA rages on but one name is firmly in the mix and that is Amanda Nunes.
The Brazilian is a two division UFC Champion and her last loss came in 2014. Nunes has wins over Valentina Shevchenko, Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm, to name a few.
She has made the Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions her own in the UFC and many claimed that she is the GOAT, not just in the women’s division but in MMA.
The 32-year-old was last in action against Megan Anderson and dominated her rival at UFC 259. However, the Brazilian is going to be present at the next UFC event on ABC as her wife, Nina Ansaroff makes her return to the Octagon.
Ansaroff and Nunes welcomed a baby girl to their family a few months back, and this is Ansaroff’s return fight.
The main event of the clash is Kevin Holland taking on Marvin Vettori. Holland has a nickname of Big Mouth since he does a lot of trash talking in the Octagon.
However, he was left a little stumped after catching a glimpse of Nunes. Holland even blurted out that she was the GOAT but this would have been the reaction of any MMA fan if they saw Nunes.
“Is that Amanda Nunes right there? Oh my God! You are the GOAT. The real GOAT.”
Holland might have been starstruck seeing Nunes but he has to concentrate on his next outing.
Kevin Holland has to be wary of Marvin Vettori
Vettori, The Italian Dream, is coming into this fight on a four-fight win streak. He beat the tough Jack Hermansson in his last outing and was to fight Darren Till at UFC on ABC 2.
However, Till broke his collarbone and Holland took up the fight on short notice. Holland was on a five-fight win streak before getting beaten by Derek Brunson less than a couple of weeks back.
Big Mouth will be keen on getting back to winning ways but Vettori wants UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, and a win here would push him closer to that fight.
