The co-main event featuring middleweights Kevin Holland and Kyle Daukaus at UFC Fight Night: Santos vs Walker came to a controversial conclusion following the declaration of a no-contest.

Just a few minutes into the first round, there was a clash of heads between Holland and Daukaus. While Daukaus stood his ground, Holland collapsed due to the impact and was nearly knocked out.

He regained his senses only after hitting the canvas. Daukaus improvised on the situation, set up a rear-naked choke just moments later and earned the win.

Dan Miragliotta the match referee had a chat with the match officials including Herb Dean. A while later the fight was awarded a no-contest, much to the dismay of Daukaus’ corner.

At the post-fight interview, it was all respect between Holland and Daukaus. Holland conceded that Daukaus should have won the fight.
