“Can’t camp there” – Kevin Holland willing to go to extreme lengths to hunt down Israel Adesanya

Kevin Holland put on quite a performance at UFC 256 but still has Israel Adesanya in his sights

Kevin ‘Trail Blazer’ Holland put on an excellent performance at UFC 256 with a win over Jacare Souza.

The win came early on thanks to a freak punch that completely levelled Holland’s rival. Souza needed a lot of help standing up and the medics had to work on him for a while too.

While Souza and Holland had respect for each other, this was Trail Blazer’s fifth win of 2020. He is only one of a handful of people to have finished a year with five fights and all five have been excellent performances.

However, Holland wasn’t done there, he also called out Khamzat Chimaev and wanted to fight him next week.

Holland isn’t afraid to call others out and did so to Israel Adesanya a while back. Stylebender is the undefeated Middleweight Champion and has moved up to the Light Heavyweight division for a crack at gold.

Jan Blachowicz is the newly crowned Light Heavyweight Champion and Adesanya is to fight him.

Holland was asked about this fight by Helen Yee just prior to UFC 256 and believed there could be a new champion.

Will follow Adesanya all the way to the Heavyweights

While Holland believed Adesanya could do well, he just had to be careful of the punching power of Blachowicz:

“I think he does great against Jan. He has been knocked out before so he definitely has to watch out for the Polish Power, right?

“Other than that, I think he does great. Styles make fights, and I think his style matches up well against a lot of guys at 205.”

Holland also believed that Adesanya would do well and follow Jon Jones into the Heavyweight division. However, Trail Blazer wasn’t going to let Adesanya off the hook that easy:

“I believe he can grab that belt from Jan, I believe he can defend it against Glover [Teixeira] and if Jon Jones grabs the Heavyweight title, I believe he has the chance to make that happen too.

“Sky is the limit for Stylebender but I will eat 20 burgers and catch that man, hope he doesn’t think Light Heavyweight is good place to be, can’t camp there either.”

Holland is in the form of his life and it will be interesting to see what is next for him. Khamzat vs Holland would be amazing too but Adesanya is in his sights and it is only a matter of time before he fights the champion.

Holland might talk a lot but he is walking the walk and might just eat those burgers to move up a division or two.
