Kevin Lee has his debut set. The former UFC fighter who was recently released from the promotion will take on yet another fighter who was released in 2021 – Diego Sanchez.
The fight (EAGLE FC) will take place in the 165lbs division on the 11th of March, 2022. The news was first broken by MMA Fighting and later confirmed by Lee and Sanchez on their respective social media accounts. However, Lee deleted his Instagram post about the same.
Sanchez’s post on Twitter read:
“What a great challenge 2022 will be I lean on God for the determination to be victorious.”
It is worth noting that Lee was unveiled as an EAGLE FC Fighter by founder Khabib Nurmagomedov, at a recent press conference in Miami. Khabib also introduced the 165lbs weight class that same day.
Diego Sanchez will be looking forward to putting his dark days behind

Things turned ugly after many a controversy was unearthed about Sanchez and his coach Joshua Fabia. Sanchez hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision loss against Jake Matthews at UFC 253.
As for Kevin Lee, he last fought Daniel Rodriguez at UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs Chikadze in August 2021, and lost via. unanimous decision.
