Poirier won the much-anticipated trilogy. 2-1 currently. Quadrilogy is possible only if Poirier is willing to oblige.

Conor’s nemesis Khabib Nurmagomedov provided his honest breakdown of McGregor and his completely contrasting behaviour in comparison to UFC 257.

The lightweight GOAT claimed that ‘The Irishman’ was oozing fake all over the place, and that’s why his trash-talks had no effect on Poirier.

Khabib told Brett Okamoto of ESPN

“It sounds like the same thing Dustin said, ‘It’s just noise.’ He is not him, you know? I think he tried to…It was fake Conor, in my opinion, because a couple of months ago (at UFC 257), we saw how he was nice…It looks fake, you know? That’s why such trash-talks don’t work on Dustin Poirier, I think. He lost so much energy. He lost so much energy because he tried to get under his skin. ‘Don’t focus on your opponent. Why do you focus on him? Just focus on yourself.”

‘The Eagle’ claimed that McGregor would have had absolutely no chance in beating Poirier, while also stating that he was getting thoroughly dominated.

He was quoted as saying:

“He had some chance in the second fight. But here, nothing happened. What is gonna happen? Judges gave Dustin Poirier 10-8…He mauled him in the first round…I think if they fight 100 times, Dustin is gonna beat him 100 times.”

Following the fight, McGregor underwent surgery on his left foot, and has been recovering now.
