Khabib Nurmagomedov confirms his “brother” has joined ONE Championship

Khabib Nurmagomedov took to Twitter to confirm that his brother Saygid Izagakhmaev has joined ONE Championship

The Khabib Nurmagomedov family have been expanding their dominion across numerous MMA promotions in the world.

Khabib conquered the greatest mixed martial arts promotion in the world (UFC) and retired with an unbeaten record.

His teammate Islam Makhachev has been ruling the roost currently.

Khabib’s cousins Usman and Umar Nurmagomedov have begun making their mark in Bellator and UFC respectively.

The list is endless. And more recently there has been another addition to another big MMA promotion in ONE Championship.

Khabib’s brother Saygid Izagakhmaev has signed a contract with the Singapore-based promotion and will be making his debut in December, later this year.

Taking to Twitter Khabib confirmed the same, while also thanking ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Saygid Izagakhmaev has a record of 19 wins and 2 losses

Saygid Izagakhmaev made his MMA debut in July 2012 when he was just 18 years old. He has fought across multiple promotions, and has racked up 19 wins, with just 2 losses.

He last competed in Khabib’s very own Eagle Fighting Championship, but was a part of the promotion when it was known as Gorilla Fighting Championship as well.

He is currently on a 2-fight winning streak.
