Khabib Nurmagomedov hit up AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Instagram
‘The Eagle’ retired officially from the sport of MMA on the 18th of March this year. He had hung up his gloves after beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October 2020, only to make it official 5 months later.
Since then Khabib has been trying his hand at a plethora of activities. He has already coached his fellow Dagestani brothers to victory in various MMA promotions including the UFC.
He has also been actively spending his time playing ‘The Beautiful Game’.
Elsewhere, Zlatan Ibrahimovic posted a video on Instagram, standing in the middle of the San Siro in his AC Milan attire, throwing high-spinning kicks at the camera. He captioned the post – “Ninja”.
Khabib slid in, re-sharing Ibra’s post asking the Milan striker, “What about wrestling?”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic holds a honorary black belt in Taekwondo
Ibra was awarded an honorary black belt in Taekwondo, back during his first spell with AC Milan, in 2010. The acrobatic goals scored by him almost periodically exemplify the marksman’s superior flexibility.
Who can forget his out of the world goal against England in 2012, with Stan Collymore on air screaming – “Oh my god an insane goal, I’ve just seen the most insane goal I’ve ever seen on a football pitch.”
It will be interesting to see how a fight between a 6 foot 5, Ibra and 5 foot 10 Khabib plays out.
There is no doubt Khabib will emerge victorious, since he has been trained to fight all his life, but Ibra might inflict some significant damage with his ultra-powerful leg kicks. But on the ground, not anyone has come close to dominating the Russian.
If even a bear wasn’t able to beat Khabib, what can someone like Ibrahimovic do?
