Khabib Nurmagomedov heaped praise on fellow Russian Movlid Khaybulaev after his win over Lazar Stojadinovic.

Another fight, another Dagestani on the rise. Russian featherweight Movlid Khaybulaev earned an impressive victory over Stojadinovic in the featherweight division of the Professional Fighters League.

This was Khaybulaev’s fourth appearance in the PFL (including one no-contest).

Khaybulaev is yet to lose a fight in his professional career. With 16 wins, the featherweight’s surge has been unbelievable and it wouldn’t be a surprise if heads to the UFC in a few years time.

Fellow Russian, and consensus UFC GOAT, Khabib was quick to congratulate his Dagestani brother.

Posting a photo alongside Khaybulaev, Khabib wrote, “Great job, congratulations brother.”

The two have often been pictured together training, which would have been of immense help to Khaybulaev. And of course, the results are being reflected!

Patricio Pitbull believes Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t the GOAT

If there is someone who is not from the UFC, who can challenge the might of the UFC lightweights and featherweights, it has to be Patricio Pitbull. The Bellator Legend is a two-division champion, and has often claimed that he is the best lightweight in the world.

He recently weighed-in on Khabib being called the greatest of all time. Pitbull disputed the claim saying that he was just a great fighter and a big name, but never the GOAT. He also supported his claim as he pointed out to the fact that Khabib just featured in 4 title fights.

“He’s a great fighter, he’s a big name. That’s it…He’s 29-0, but he has only four fights for the belt, so it does not make sense, he’s not the GOAT. I think Jon Jones is the GOAT. The numbers, the numbers speak for themselves.”

Pitbull is waiting for probably the biggest match of his career, as he will be defending his featherweight title against the undefeated A.J McKee at the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix Final.

As for Khabib, he has been actively expanding his empire, venturing into a lot of new businesses.
