Dustin Poirier called out Conor McGregor for not donating to his charity, and Khabib Nurmagomedov was there to slam the Irishman

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor meet later in July as they have their trilogy fight. The second bout between them took place a few months back with Poirier getting his revenge after losing their first UFC clash.

The entire atmosphere around that fight was built around respect. McGregor had a ton of respect for his rival and vice versa.

The Irishman even promised to donate to Poirier’s charity, the Good Fight Foundation. However, things don’t seem to be rosy between the pair now.

Poirier hit back at McGregor’s prediction about how their third fight would go. The Irishman claimed that he would front kick Poirier and score a KO, rearranging the Diamond’s nose too.

However, Poirier shot back and claimed that McGregor hasn’t donated a single cent to his foundation.

“That’s a fun prediction! @TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov was enjoying this and took a bit of a shot at McGregor. Khabib had donated to Poirier’s foundation after their title fight and he also demolished McGregor in the past.

While the video was not in English, many fans translated the clip and it suggested that one of the characters had given their word/made a promise and now were taking it back.

Khabib is one of the greatest characters in MMA and has always kept his word. It was interesting that Poirier brought this up just before his fight but McGregor had a weird answer to all this.

Conor McGregor responds to Dustin Poirier’s claims

The Irishman was quick to respond to the allegations of not donating to Poirier’s charity. McGregor claimed that he had promised to make a donation, however, there were no details of what the money would be used for.

The Irishman went on to say that most of these foundations don’t know how to use the money:

“A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.”

This does seem to be a bit of a vague response from McGregor. Poirier can decide what to use the money for and well, if he didn’t trust Poirier in the first place, why did McGregor agree to donate?

Ali Abdelaziz, who always takes a shot at McGregor, shared his thoughts on this. The MMA agent slammed McGregor for his acts and claimed he wasn’t a man.
