Usman Nurmagomedov, the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov is gearing up for his next fight
Usman made a successful start to his Bellator career last month, after defeating Mike Hamel at Bellator 255. He won the fight via. unanimous decision, and took his professional MMA record to 12-0. Usman has finished 10 of his 12 professional fights.
He was coached by none other than his legendary cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was by his corner during the fight.
And in a matter of two months, Usman is set to fight once again. The fight will take place on the 30th of July in the United States.
Khabib took to Instagram to announce the same. Posting a picture alongside Usman, he revealed that his cousin has been preparing for the battle with full vigour and valour.
Here is what Khabib had to say:
“How nice it is to train for your pleasure))) There used to be times, but now there are moments))) @usman_nurmagomedov began to prepare in full for his next battle, which will take place on July 30 in the States. @gorillaenergy you are just bombs.”
Can Usman Nurmagomedov go on to emulate Khabib Nurmagomedov?
Khabib Nurmagomedov was 29-0 in his MMA career, when he hung up his gloves. Hardly did anyone even come close to defeating ‘The Eagle’.
It looks like his cousin Usman is following in the same footsteps, as well. With 12 fights in his professional career, Usman has dispatched all his opponents with ease.
Although he is moving into the tougher realms only now, the ‘Dagestani’ blood is quite evident in the youngster.
The chances that he makes a switch to the UFC in the coming years, is pretty high.
