Speaking to the media after the fight, Eagle FC founder Khabib Nurmagomedov opened up on a myriad of topics. Knowing that the Dagestani is a big fan of football, he was asked about former Real Madrid frontman Gonzalo Higuain.

Admitting that he had totally forgotten about Higuain, Khabib revealed that he would soon contact him.
Here is what he had to say:
“Honestly I forget about him. Maybe I’m gonna invite him in next show because he’s Madridista. He’s from Madrid, you know? This is good idea. I am gonna contact with him. I’m gonna send him – because I’m very close with Benzema [Karim], I think they talk with each other.”
Higuain joined Inter Miami from Juventus in 2020.
