Khabib Nurmagomedov has come out with an NFT card collection of his own

NFT cards are becoming a trend recently, especially after the NBA NFT cards came out. And since then, a lot of sporting stars have come out with it.

These ‘non-fungible tokens’ are unique and they are digital, which can be used as a collector’s item too; much like collecting art and paintings.

And UFC legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has come out with a collection of his own. The cards are available on his website, digitalkhabib.com.

There are three types of these NFT cards. The Gold card, of which there will be 290 pieces, the Platinum card, which will have 29 units, and the Diamond card, which is the rarest of them all and will only be available to one lucky buyer.

Securing a Diamond card offers the chance to meet the Russian fighter in person and other such gifts from Khabib himself.

Khabib announced his retirement from the sport earlier this month after amassing the most impressive professional record in history. He won all his 29 fights and never once came close to losing.

This featured 3 consecutive title defences after he won the lightweight belt at UFC 223 in April 2018. The 32-year-old could have fought on for more years for sure, but he recently spoke about how he did not like the violence in the sport.

Khabib is now dedicated to coaching his team and also debuted as a cornerman for his teammate Islam Makhachev at UFC 259.

Javier Mendez, his coach, is now working with Khabib in training sessions. And the soon-to-be former lightweight champion is counting on his cousin brothers to continue his legacy.
