Khabib Nurmagomedov was a guest in a recent interview of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson
Khabib Nurmagomedov is considered to be the greatest UFC lightweight of all time. What made him stand out was his discipline as well – especially towards the sport.
Known for his super-pious persona, Khabib loathes alcohol, marijuana and recreational drugs, and has very often spoken against them during several UFC events.
During the recent Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson Interview, Khabib discussed a plethora of topics with the boxing great, alongside former UFC fighter Henry Cejudo, and Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz.
Although, the group had a good time throughout the course of the interview, Khabib recently stated in an interaction with RT Sport Media that he didn’t like the way Tyson showed up. Indeed, Tyson hardly spoke, it was Cejudo who did all the talking.
But, that’s how usually Tyson is.
Khabib then went on to reveal that he looked up to athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo – the Juventus forward is the epitome of fitness.
Poor Khabib probably didn’t realize what Hotboxing meant. However, ‘there’s no accounting for taste!’
Here is what Khabib had to say:
“No, he didn’t look through me. Overall, I didn’t like the way he looked…We were at his ranch where he hosts his podcasts. I asked him that there’d be no smoking around me but I wasn’t a fan. I liked how Cristiano Ronaldo looked more. He looked like an athlete.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals what would have happened had Herb Dean not intervened at UFC 229
Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor via. submission in the 4th round of the fight.
Due to the off-court rivalry that boiled over into the contest, Khabib didn’t let his grip go, even after McGregor tapped. Had referee Herb Dean not intervened, things would have been different.
In the interview with RT Sport, Khabib revealed what would have happened if Dean hadn’t stopped him.
“You saw what happened on October 6th. Remove Herb Dean and you will understand what would’ve happened. A person can die from a grip like that. If you want to, I can choke you behind the curtain and you’ll see what would’ve happened. When a person strangles you and has been doing this for 30 years, this is a cold weapon… Dean removed my hands, he removed my grip.” [via RT Sport YouTube]
