Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul which concluded recently went the full eight rounds
YouTuber Logan Paul survived eight rounds against arguably the greatest boxer of all time – Floyd Mayweather. Since the fight was an exhibition bout, there was no winner as no knockouts were scored.
In the end, both the fighters walked home with a bag of cash. Mayweather and Paul were accused of hugging for a large part of the match.
There was even a point in the fight where Mayweather almost knocked down Paul, but held on to him so that he wouldn’t hit the canvas.
In a recent interview with RT Sport, lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov shared his thoughts on the Paul vs Mayweather fight. The Russian claimed that there was no competitive aspect to the fight.
“What’s there to say? They came out, made money. It’s purely business. There was no competitive aspect to it. Old Mayweather came out, they sparred and made money. What else is there to say?” [via RT Sport]
Khabib is currently in Almaty, Kazakhstan, ahead of Eagle Fighting Championship 37. The Dagestani recently became the owner of the fighting promotion, previously known as Gorilla Fighting Championship.
Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals if he would fight in such contests
In the same interview Khabib also stated that it was not his business to ask them not to fight.
He also cheekily said that he would fight too if he was probably offered more than “a hundred bucks” ($100 million).
“The guys decided to make money? Should I tell them to not make money and not fight? They came out, put on a show, and earned tens of millions. I have no interest in doing something like that yet. If you give a bit more than ‘a hundred bucks’ I’ll think about it.” [via RT Sport]
However, Khabib was offered around $100 million to fight Floyd Mayweather recently, but the Russian is believed to have turned down that offer.
