Khabib Nurmagomedov has once again reiterated his thoughts about the inclusion of ring girls in MMA
Khabib Nurmagomedov is known for his no-nonsense approach. However, he has often come under fire for his ‘outdated’ takes.
A month ago, during a media interaction with RT Sport, Khabib was asked about the inclusion of ring girls in his promotion Eagle FC.
Without hesitation, Khabib went on a rant stating that ring girls were useless in MMA, and he would never include them in his promotion. However, he did mention that he was just stating his opinion.
Khabib’s interview spread like wildfire, and his comments received widespread hate from the MMA community. Even the prominent ring girls, Brittney Palmer and Arianny Celeste expressed their disgust towards Khabib’s comments.
In a recent interaction with the fans and media in England, Khabib Nurmagomedov once again opened up on the ring girls comments.
Speaking about the criticism he received following his comments, Khabib was quoted as saying:
“Couple month ago, someone ask me about… I have promotion. I have my own promotion Eagle Fighting Championship and someone ask about why there’s no ring girls there. I say because I think (there’s) no reason. It’s my opinion. I’m born with this, I grew up with this, and I have straight my opinion. Sometimes, like, people, when I say something, they don’t agree with this. But, who cares? I don’t care because I know I am right. In my mind. Because everybody have their own views on something.” [via MMA News]
Khabib had a good time catching up with a lot of prominent people from the sporting field. He paid a visit to Old Trafford and caught up with Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson, Patrice Evra, Paul Pogba and others.
The next day he visited Anfield to witness a stunning draw played out between Liverpool and Manchester City.
